The tenant was drawn to the urban location in conjunction with the modern architecture and structural design the shell environment provided. The desired 3rd floor locale offered lofty metal truss ceilings, floor to ceiling windows, with 360 degrees of picturesque views. The interior design exposed the architectural elements of the building, and complimented the space by weaving reclaimed wood walls, suspended steel grate panels, and custom AV components in all visible areas created a lively and energetic environment while keeping the project within budget.

The Construction overcame several obstacles, including a fire at the mill providing the reclaimed wood, but overcame the challenge and still met the targeted move-in date. The most visible challenge of this project was the installation of a SmartCar as an advertising showpiece inside the building. Windows were removed from the third floor and the car was strategically placed within the space. In addition, the CEO required a three tiered personal work environment that played upon private space and public space. Success equated to delivering a collaborative/gaming space, connected to a one-on-one informal lounge style office, which then lead to the CEO’s private office.
