The client’s desire was to achieve the design aesthetic of their Connecticut office in this new Scottsdale space utilizing a budget $1.6 million less than that used to achieve the same goals in Connecticut. The trick was in sourcing materials with the look and feel of expensive materials for less.

It was important to the client as well as the design and construction team that this office space reflect the Starwood brand commitment to quality, design aesthetic, and functionality while observing the attributes of environmentally responsible design, construction, operation and maintenance. For this reason, DAVIS made it a top priority to find environmentally friendly solutions that offered great value to the project.

The Starwood office interiors incorporates eco-friendly materials throughout the space. Sustainable elements include carpet made of recycled content, FSC certified woods, low VOC finishes and water conserving plumbing fixtures. Energy conserving light fixtures enhance the overall energy efficiency of the office space.
