From the moment it opened, the Arizona Science Center became a downtown Phoenix icon for its unmistakable architecture vocabulary and efficient use of interior space. The facility houses a 200-seat, 60’ diameter planetarium, 285-seat IMAX theater, 40,000 sf of exhibit space, a 4,000 sf main lobby and a café and dining area. The expansion included 12,000 sf of exhibit space on two levels, and a 6,000 sf basement level for classrooms and storage space.
